Terms, refunds and privacy

1 · What Donut Overlays is

Donut Overlays is a subscription that gives you three live stream overlay games for Minecraft Donut SMP: an elimination board, a live auction and a money game. You get a small program that runs on your own computer, plus a permanent web link you add as a browser source in TikTok LIVE Studio, OBS, Streamlabs or anything else that accepts one.

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Mojang, Microsoft, Minecraft, Donut SMP, TikTok, Twitch, YouTube or OBS.

2 · Your account

• One account is for one streamer. Do not share your login or your overlay link.
• Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens on your account.
• You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, or have a parent or guardian agree on your behalf.
• We can suspend an account that is being shared, resold, or used to break the law or another platform's rules.

3 · Free trial

New accounts get 7 days free. You enter card details at the start so the subscription can continue without interruption, but no money is taken during the trial.

We email you 3 days before the trial ends. If you cancel before the end date you are never charged. One free trial per account.

4 · Subscription and billing

• $8/month for one overlay of your choice, or $12/month for all three. Prices are in US dollars.
• Billing is monthly, on the same date each month, until you cancel.
• Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
• If a payment fails, Stripe retries. If it keeps failing, your overlays stop working until the payment goes through. Your link and settings are kept.
• If we change the price, you get at least 30 days' notice by email and the change only applies from your next renewal.

5 · Cancelling

Cancel any time from Manage plan on the site — no email required, no retention hoops.

When you cancel you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. After that the overlay link stops working. Nothing is deleted straight away: if you come back, your same link starts working again.

6 · Refunds

What you are entitled to

• Charged after you cancelled? Full refund, always.
• Charged by mistake, or twice? Full refund, always.
• Service broken on our side for more than 24 hours? Refund of that month, or the month extended free — your choice.

What we ask

Outside those cases, ask within 14 days of a charge and if you have barely used the overlays that month we will refund it. We would rather refund you than argue.

We do not usually refund a month you have streamed with, and we do not refund the free trial because it never cost you anything. If a refund is refused you can always cancel so you are not charged again.

Refunds go back to the original card and normally arrive within 5–10 business days.

7 · What we expect from you

• Do not resell, rent out or redistribute the software or your overlay link.
• Do not take the software apart to make a competing product.
• Do not use the overlays to run anything illegal where you live, or anything that breaks the rules of the server or streaming platform you are on.

Games involving money. These overlays help you run in-game events with in-game currency. What you run, and whether it is allowed on your server and your streaming platform, is entirely your responsibility. Check the rules before you start.

8 · What you can expect from us

We aim to keep the service running all day, every day, but we do not promise it. Things that can interrupt it include hosting problems, your own internet, Minecraft or your streaming platform changing something, or planned maintenance.

The software is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost income, lost viewers, or anything that happens during a stream. If we are found liable for something, our total liability is capped at what you paid us in the previous 12 months.

9 · Your data

What we keep

• Your email address, so you can log in and we can contact you.
• A scrambled version of your password (a bcrypt hash). We cannot read your actual password, which is why a reset link is the only way to recover an account.
• Your subscription status and dates, mirrored from Stripe.
• Your overlay settings — colours, text size, and any background image you upload.
• Your Minecraft username, if you put it in a review.

What we do not keep

• Card numbers. Stripe handles payment, and we only ever receive a customer reference.
• Your Minecraft chat logs. The game reads them on your own computer; only the scoreboard state is sent up so your overlay link can show it.
• Anything else on your computer.

Who else sees it

Three companies, each only for the part they do: Stripe (payments), MongoDB Atlas (database hosting), Render (website hosting), and an email provider for the handful of emails listed below. We do not sell your data, and there is no advertising or tracking on this site.

Emails we send

A welcome email when you sign up, a reminder 3 days before a trial ends, password reset links when you ask for one, and receipts from Stripe. No marketing emails.

Deleting your data

Email us and we will delete your account and everything attached to it within 30 days. Records of payments are kept longer where tax law requires it.

10 · Changes to these terms

If we change anything that affects you, we will email you before it takes effect. Small wording fixes just appear here with a new date at the top.

11 · Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. This does not take away any rights you have as a consumer where you live.
